Magnetic Water Treatment

Frenergy supplies products that form part of a hard water treatment system by applying magnetic fields to help break down water hardness and soften the water. Similar in operation to inline water conditioner filters, these treat water by being clamped to the outside surface of the pipe. Many customers find the effect of magnetic devices such as these reduce the limescale build-up in their pipes. It also removes scale issues and dissolve ferrous iron to reduce corrosion and mineral content in their water. The devices contain powerful Neodymium magnets so water passing through the field becoming magnetised water. Magnetic conditioners form part of many water management systems, particularly in large scale irrigation and agricultural situations. Magnetic water treatments are particularly useful to combat the high iron in well water and are often referred to as bore water magnets or hard water descalers. There is also a growing discussion regarding consuming magnetic water for health benefits and magnets have become components in water filters particularly with an effort to dissolve iron. Hot water systems can also benefit from removing limescale and many people report their tanks last longer with these installed in the inflowing water pipes. There is no external power needed to operate the device and no maintenance requirements for the encased Permanent Magnets. Breaking down impurities that are present in your water supply can improve the quality of your drinking water and enhance home-grown produce. Softer water extends the life of electrical appliances and prevents scale from accumulating on household devices such as kettles, coffee machines and washing machines.

The Pull Force listed for each magnet is based on lifting 10mm thick steel vertically. Magnets on a vertical surface (of 10mm thick steel)  are generally able to hold around 30% of the pull force listed due to the effects of gravity and the lack of traction between the surface and the shiny magnet.
