Axial – For discs, cylinders, and rings the poles are on the flat surfaces, this is most common magnetised direction. For blocks the magnetised direction can be through any direction though.
Diametrical – For discs, cylinders, and rings the poles are on the curved surfaces. The magnetised direction is across the diameter.
Radially – For rings and arcs the magnetised direction is into or away from the centre point the same direction as the radius.
Multi-pole – For multi-pole magnets the magnetised direction is according to the magnet segments and is typically for ring, arc or block magnets.
