*Measured against up to 10mm mild steel.

This Neodymium Pot Magnet has a M5 male thread and a holding force of 22kgs. It has an outside diameter of 25mm and an overall height of 17mm. The Neodymium Rare Earth magnet is encased in mild steel cup housing with a male stud permanently attached to the mount. It is designed to be used in conjunction with a washer and nut to fasten to any hardware assembly. This magnet is ideal for applications including holding, positioning, lifting, retrieving and antenna mounting, to name just a few.

Pot magnets are capable of producing a superior pull force to that of another single magnet of the same size. The metal housing serves to augment the magnetic field, creating a primary face whist reducing the magnetic field of the reverse side with the male thread. As such, they are single sided magnets which permit for a simple mode of attaching or suspending objects without causing damage to the substrate. Furthermore, the steel cap provides extra protection against chipping or cracking making this more robust when in frequent use.

Rare Earth Neodymium magnets are up to seven times stronger than traditional magnets and they are the strongest permanent magnets commercially available. This strength makes them the preferred option for customers that require maximum magnetic performance with a small footprint. They and come in a huge range of sizes, shapes and grades. Rare Earth magnets are magnetically stable and have a strong resistance to demagnetization however they are not suitable for use in high temperature applications.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

Magnets rated holding force is when contacted directly against mild steel 3mm thick or greater.

The theoretical holding force described is for horizontal holding (based on a min 3mm thick steel surface). If you position the magnet to the vertical, you should divide the holding force amount by 3. This is due to the influences of gravity and reduced friction.

AVOID:
Please note that magnetic strength will be weaker if the item you are attaching to is alloy, stainless steel, Colourbond steel, painted, oily, rusty or bumpy.

Also, if the ferrous item you're attaching to is thin, the magnet will be weaker too, i.e. foil or sheet metal

If something in between the magnets and the surface you're attaching to (i.e fabric), the pull strength also will be lesser.
